Self-care must haves ( with Amazon Links)
It's the beginning of the year and I promised myself that I would grant myself the space to be gentle and do more self-care days than I did in 2024. I'm pretty sure I can count on one hand how many times I did my own nails, and that's not a good thing especially being a nail tech with a salon. Giving myself some much-needed self-care doesn't just look like a spa day or shopping. For me it's more like taking a couple of hours to sit down and read or to lay in bed with wine and watch one of the billon shows my clients have recommended or even sitting in my garden. But on the days where I actually need a little TLC for my Hair Skin and Nails, I wanted to share a few things I've used that have really replenished these areas when I neglect them so often.
Let's start with NAILS ...
When I finally decide to freshen up my nails, I usually do a full manicure to make sure my cuticles are nice and neat I use this cuticle set that I put together from amazon(I've had it for years), then do a fill on my nails with builder gel , add my go to color which is Marshmallow from The Gel Bottle. Then finish will my homemade cuticle oil that has Sweet Almond oil and sweet vanilla oil.

I don't use this brand but it's a good one and you can purchase without a nail license
Homemade cuticle oil:
Let's move to my shower routine (Body and Hair )!
on those hard workdays and late nights coming home from the salon full of dust. I start by prepping my shower with shower steam bar that is usually lavender, eucalyptus or peppermint. Then make sure I have my favorite body scrub that helps to exfoliate and get all that nail dust that has settled on my skin. When I'm done exfoliating, I go in with my ultimate favorite body wash from Saltaire (Santal Bloom Scent). Then on to the hair with Nexxus Shampoo and conditioner. Then once I'm done washing up, I use ESO 24H Moisturizer and add Frenshe oil (Thank me later on this combo)

Deep condition Day! (Hair Care)
Hair day is an important day and usually falls on a Sunday where I have a few hours to myself or if the family just doesn't have anything planned for that day. I like to start with applying a rosemary castor oil blend to my fingers and give myself a scalp massage this usally sits on my hair for a couple of hours wrapped in a plastic wrap. Then after I use a deep conditioner from as Iam I let this sit for about 15 minutes then wash out .( If my hair needs a little bit of protein then I add a Protein treatment from Aphogee.) Once my hair is clean I blow dry but not before I add my heat protectant combo to my hair . I spray the WOW dreamcoat on my damp hair then go in with my Chi Silk protectant . I blow dry with my revlon blow dry brush then flat iron my hair with the Remmington Shine Therapy flat iron . This leave my hair pretty silky!

I usually cut my own rosemary from the garden and heat my castor oil up on the stove .
if you dont feel like mixing your own oil, Mielle is a great oil and I've had good results using .
Last but not least, The Face !
I have combination to oily skin . Now i'm no dermatologist or esthetician but I know what has worked for me. Also I don't do too much because I actually want to keep up with my skincare routine. So I start by taking my makeup off with the Micellar water . After that I go in with a light face scrub from Philosophy Exfoliating fash wash and scrub lightly for about 60 seconds . Then go in with my face wash from Derma-E I rub this in my hand until it's bubbly then I put it on my face . Then finish with CeraVe for my face moisturizer.

Micellar Water $8.97
This wraps up my self-care day when I can get to it . I’m true to these products and have used most of them for years . Let me know if you actually already use some on these products or if you are going to give them a try. Each product is linked so you have easy access to them . I will get a commission for these as well .
Be Gentle To Yourself Babes !
